Gardener Treehouse

The Gardener Treehouse is one of O2 Treehouse’s earlier creations and is based on one of O2’s original geodesic sphere treehouses, otherwise known as the Sequoia Model. Built to be very light the Sequoia Model can easily suspend in any tree or grouping of trees by utilizing the geodesics unique and phenomenal load distribution capabilities.  The fracturing spacial paths of the trees branches sync easily with the triangulated patterned openings of the sphere. There are usually a few tricky aspects to the fit but once achieved the tree branches wind easily in and out of the treehouse; a functional sculpture and blend of engineering and nature.

Created in aluminum, wood, and high-density polyethylene, the materials of the structure are chosen for their light weight, and ability for disassembly and recycling (cradle to cradle). The canopy is suspended inside of an exterior structural frame and is fashioned of nearly 50% zipper operable windows allowing the canopy to be converted from fully enclosed to an open-air deck. The Gardener treehouse boasts a height of 35’ in the tree, has a manual ascension basket and under-floor storage compartments.
