This project is for a client and her husband who is recovering for a stroke. They are looking to build a restorative sanctuary for him to use through his recovery process. The structure is centered around a giant oak tree and is circular so that they can walk and grow together forever.

Woodside

A little fun for the adults and a lot of fun for the kids! This project includes two structures: a tetratruss deck in conversation with a few of the oak trees on the hillside and a treehouse for the kids. The kids play structure will be a geodesic, suspended treehouse with CNC, patterned wood panels that enclose the polyhedron.

Gersten

Gersten

The Gersten Equilibrium Home will be our grandest construction to date, fitted with all of the comforts of a primary residence plus rooftop greenspaces and multi-level, wraparound decks. It will be the ultimate home for tree-living. Multiple rooms including a kitchen and bathroom will connect across several levels for maximum inspiration and canopy feels among the trees.

The Patchett clubhouse will be an expansive connection across several historic trees as a perfect homage to Ned, who has been an arborist with a specialty for saving mature, compromised trees for many years. With multiple levels, and even more deck space, there will be room for the whole Patchett family to cherish time in the trees.

Treewalkers Pilot Structure

The flagship model of the Treewalkers franchise is coming to life. These Treewalkers pilot structures will be test production runs to finalize the details for scaled manufacturing and growth of Treewalkers. They may remain for private use or be integrated into the Treewalkers network once fully launched, as the early owners of these models see fit.

This Pope CA vineyard tensegrity will provide a sculptural treehouse house destination to guests attending transformational workshops on a variety of subjects from personal healing to sharpening their entrepreneurial wits. The arboreal tensegrity will weave in and amongst the branches of this large grandfather white oak which sits front and center amidst a picture-esc grape vine backdrop and horizon draped in the Napa Valley mountains.

Palo Alto couldn’t be a more romantic landscape with a babbling brook passing through the yard and luscious embankments framing a distant grandfather CA Live Oak standing prominent the bank opposite the house. The client aptly envisioned a long rope bridge spanning from giant redwoods and arriving the oak The rope bridge to be a generous 5’ width will swoop to a large petal shaped double multi level deck space which will sit in the broad side canopy of dappled light. A wrapping staircase will frame a garden setting accessing the stilted kids play structure built amongst the ground crawling cantilevered branches of this unique oak. It will truly be setting pulled straight from the fantasy novels of ones childhood. If thats not enough a tree “limb-walk” will provide additional secret avatar esc access to the 2nd level of the kids play fort.

The Glazed Perch is surely destined for a future full of “likes”. This rolled roof tree abode is protected from the elements from what we believe at O2 Treehouse is the first ceramic dinner plate shingled roof. The rest of the structure is not lacking in charm, with a full bleed glass façade facing opposite and exposing the entire interior to grand forest views the lucky dwellers who will be lucky to relax in this hobbit like tree lounge intact with fold out bed, tatami mat, and built in side tables. The structure is accessible via the structural beams seconding as a cat walk access. Get ready to see this one plastered all over Pinterest!

Elk

Elk

Elk is sure to be a magical experience traversing this steep CA Redwood Valley terrain. A bridge spanning 120’ will connect two parts of the property. The bridge is a historical re-imagination of what once was a similar albeit less expressive version. The epic 8’ tall cast concrete totems will provide support and act as a ceremonious entry way allowing passage between the two sides. Redwood slats will provide a spiraling sculptural adornment circling the bridge and the passer by as one walks from one side to the other. The sturdy planks at foot will be of a the most unique hardwood material… palm wood! DuraPalm (TM) provided most poetically by a good friends the client and amongst others a user of the original historical bridge.

Seattle

Seattle

200 square feet of luxury lounge will float amongst 2 giant Douglas fir and one hemlock tree. This sky nest will cast a vision north into the Seattle sound with views of the olympic mountain range. The all glass facade giant vertical bifold picture window and cedar slat ceiling will bring spirit and motion to those who enter it. The coolest feature yet to come… a basket winch will dock directly into the interior for easy walk out entry. The furnishings will house a comfy fold out hida-bed transforming the spacious single room interior with bath from bedroom to living space.

Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara is a dynamic multilevel play space. Its first floor deck contains two entries, custom woven cargo net lounger, cantilevered deck, zip line, and, of course, access ladder to the stilted upper club house. The club house will feature a large full bleed picture window, small lofted bed, trap door, full wall mural, and walk out patio. Framing the composition and brining further support to the clubhouse are large Douglas Fir posts adorned with texture features giving a temple quality vibe. The floating clubhouse supports an overarching eve system that will catch the light creating a stunning backdrop to the rectilinear yet still branch woven classy kids play lounge.
